This commercial hot water system was designed and built by Flow Energy to provide reliable, high-capacity hot water for a demanding commercial application. Featuring a 4000L cylinder skid and two high-efficiency Meridian condensing boilers, the prefabricated system combines substantial storage capacity with rapid recovery and efficient operation.

Commercial Hot Water System Performance
At the heart of the system are two high-efficiency condensing boilers, each providing 180.3 kW of output at 80/60°C.
Combined with 4000 litres of hot water storage, the system was designed to provide dependable hot water during periods of high demand while maintaining efficient operation.
Key system performance includes:
- 4000L hot water storage capacity
- Two 180.3 kW condensing boilers
- Estimated recovery rate: 6,181 litres per hour from 15°C to 65°C
- First-hour performance: approximately 10,000 litres
- Continuous performance: approximately 6,000 litres per hour
This combination of storage and boiler capacity provides a robust solution for commercial and industrial applications where consistent hot water availability is critical.
Prefabricated Hot Water Skid
A key advantage of this project was the use of a prefabricated hot water skid.
The prefabricated commercial hot water system was assembled and tested prior to delivery, helping reduce installation time and on-site disruption.
The complete skid was delivered:
- Pre-plumbed
- Pre-wired
- Pre-commissioned
- Ready for connection to the site’s services
The skid was completed within an eight-day build period before being transported to site.
Simplifying On-Site Installation
Prefabricating a commercial hot water system can significantly simplify installation and reduce on-site disruption.
For this project, Flow Energy also coordinated Hiab delivery and completed post-installation commissioning, providing a turnkey solution from fabrication through to final operation.
